The Elevora Partners Urgent Care Jump Start™ Program is a structured, immersive training pathway designed to rapidly develop practice-ready Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) for the urgent care environment.
The program is purpose-built for new graduates or APCs with limited urgent care experience and equips them with the clinical judgment, procedural competence, and operational confidence required to practice safely and independently in high-acuity, high-throughput settings.
Unlike stand-alone online education, Jump Start™ enables organizations to build a fully operational internal APC training program—combining curriculum, preceptor development, hands-on clinical experience, and evaluation tools into a sustainable workforce solution.n
-
Jump Start™ is designed for:
Urgent care organizations experiencing difficulty recruiting experienced APCs
Health systems seeking to safely onboard new graduate or early-career APCs
Organizations looking to reduce variability in APC onboarding and ramp-up
Groups aiming to establish a scalable, repeatable internal training infrastructure
The program supports Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants practicing within an urgent care scope.
-
Jump Start™ is an accelerated 16-week training program.
The program length is intentionally designed to balance:
Patient safety
APC confidence and competence
Operational efficiency
Time to independent practice
While 16 weeks is typical, the program structure allows for flexibility based on learner progress, organizational needs, and acuity mix.
-
The implementation timeline depends on your organization’s current infrastructure and readiness.
In most cases:
Program setup takes approximately 3–4 weeks
Time is allocated for onboarding optimization, credentialing workflows (if required), preceptor identification, and curriculum alignment
Organizations with existing onboarding or education frameworks may be able to implement more quickly, while others may benefit from deeper foundational development—both of which Elevora supports.
-
APCs in the Jump Start™ Program are hired as providers, not students.
All Jump Start™ APCs must:
Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program
Hold national board certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
Possess a valid state license
Additional credentialing or privileging requirements follow the organization’s internal policies.
-
Yes. APCs are typically compensated as providers throughout the program.

-
Credentialing requirements depend on your organization’s policies.
Some organizations allow APCs to begin portions of the program (education, shadowing, observation) prior to full credentialing
Others require full credentialing before any on-site or patient-facing activity
Elevora works with your leadership team to align program design with regulatory, legal, and risk-management requirements.
-
Jump Start™ includes structured evaluation and competency tracking throughout the training period.
Evaluation methods include:
Direct observation
